Delaware River Biking

Titusville New Jersey. Lush green farmland, deciduous woods and the Delaware River close by. It’s gorgeous here. And hilly. Very hilly. Paradise for bikers that enjoy a challenge.
One of my favorite routes takes you on a narrow gravel path past Howell Living History Farm. It has three inclines, two on gravel and one long stretch on pavement. Put your gear in one and one, and climb. It’s fun.
If you want a more leisurely ride, the towpath between the Delaware Canal and Delaware River is beautiful. You can ride to Lambertville on the Jersey side, go across the bridge to New Hope in Pennsylvania, stop for dinner and then ride down on the Pennsylvania side, passing beautiful river homes all the way to Washington Crossing; named thus after General Washington’s famous river crossing on December 25th 1776
