Red onion
Spices to your own taste, I like jalapeno, chili, cumin and salt
Rinse the kidney beans in a colander until all the bubbles disappear from the water. (This is to save you from flatulence)
Mash them and add chia seeds and spices, stir thoroughly and let sit.
Chop the onion finely and sauté until it’s soft but not overcooked.
Stir into the bean mash, then form into thick patties. Don't make them too thin or they’ll fall apart.
Fry in a good amount of peanut, grapeseed oil or any other oil that can withstand higher temperatures.
