Spring In New York and My Mother's Flowers
Yesterday was a gorgeous Sunday and I decided to go for a run in Central Park. I was especially looking forward to my run because I knew that the cherry trees and magnolia trees were blooming. But what I didn't think about was that it was exactly 7 years since my mother died. I was already running up the hill past the Metropolitan Museum of Art, enjoying the beautiful blossoms when I realized what day it was. These flowers are for my mom. Her name was Solveig which means sun-way, or sun-road.
