Bicycling in Sweden

Greetings again from Sjunkamossa Sweden.
As you may have gathered from my previous blog post Sjunkamossa is in the country. Forest scattered with classic red farmhouses with white trim, green fields with grazing horses, cows, and sheep. It's incredible really. And so peaceful. The roads are mostly empty and narrow and not all of them are paved which makes it feel like you’re in an earlier time. In the summer it’s light until 10.30 PM or so and even then it doesn’t get completely dark. The evening sun is magic, golden and soft.  It’s a special feeling to roll through the landscape in this light.
My husband and I like to bike together too which is a nice change for me who mostly run alone.

This is not a farm, just a little house, but it's painted in the Swedish classic colors, red with white trim. I LOVE the wild garden.
I love these unpaved roads. It's 10 PM here and the sun is still high in the sky.
Sjunkamossa is surrounded by farmland and beautiful cows and horses. (Only cows in this case)
Here we were stopping for a selfie, little did we know that we were only meters away from the Örkelljunga Quarry, which we wouldn't find until weeks later.
And here we are at the quarry weeks later. My friend told me about this and we googled mapped it, not knowing that we had been so close. This place is amazing. They took rock here to build a highway, I believe in 2004.
