Finding Comfortable Running Tights
Sometimes you hear people, both runners and non-runners, say that running is the cheapest hobby you can have because all you need is a pair of running shoes, and sometimes not even that if you are a barefoot runner.
While it’s true that other sports and hobbies require a lot more gear than what a runner needs, we do have to invest in some gear. And sometimes it’s a struggle to find what works for you.
Most women need a good running bra, and most men and women need a good pair of running shoes, comfortable sweat wicking clothes for the summer, and warm running clothes for the winter.
I like to run in skin-tight, sweat wicking, and “biker type" shorts in the summer and skin tight, sweat wicking, and long tights in the winter.
I’m sensitive to seams, especially the vertical thick seam from the navel to the crotch in women’s running tights.

I also wonder why there is a seam there in the first place. Anyone who knows women’s anatomy would be aware that the vagina is exactly where this seam ends, and sometimes, which is worse, the seam even continues all the way through and up again between the buttocks. Why are they designed like this? Is it to be suggestive? Or is it ignorance of the female body?
I don’t know but my sexism alert is on red. Even so I wouldn’t care so much if it didn't hurt to run in them.
I’ve spent a lot o time looking for tights that don't have this type of seam
and what I have learned is that the best brands are all men’s. They’re skintight, sweat wicking, cheaper, and best of all the seams are nowhere near your vagina. In other words, they’re designed with a woman’s and a man’s anatomy in mind.
I found a fantastic brand the other day from Silkworld and I paid only 18 dollars for two pairs!!
I usually wear medium in women’s and went up to large because I find that men's are sometimes tighter around the hips and waist. Large fit perfectly and I was very comfortable during my run. Amazing!
